Introduction to Object-Oriented Design

This course provides the student with basic knowledge of object-oriented methods in the systems design process.

The target audience includes developers and managers who need to understand the basic concepts of object-oriented design.

Object-Oriented Overview for Mainframe Developers

2 days

This course introduces the student to object-oriented design. A combination of lectures and demonstrations will illustrate the differences between procedural and object-oriented program development.

The target audience includes mainframe application developers who do not have any exposure to object-oriented application development.

Object-Oriented Analysis and Design

4 days

Class lectures introduce the fundamentals of object-oriented analysis and design. Lab work illustrates the application of object-oriented concepts to "real world" problems using common methodology techniques like use-cases/scenarios, responsibility-driven design, and object modeling. In addition, this course is available with the following notations: Booch, OMT, UML (Unified Modeling Language), or others.
If needed, this course can be taught in conjunction with one of the following design tools: StP (Software thru Pictures), Rational Rose, Paradigm Plus, or others.

The target audience includes managers, analysts, designers, implementers, and others wishing to enhance their knowledge of object-oriented design.

Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML (Unified Modeling Language)

This course uses the industry-standard Unified Modeling Language as the means of expressing object-oriented concepts and providing team members with common notation and vocabulary for communicating their ideas. This course emphasizes the conceptual basis of object-oriented through application of key words, teaching students to "think like an object."

The target audience includes business or system analysts, technical managers, and software developers who need a common, practical technique for describing and constructing object-oriented systems.

Introduction to C++

5 days

This course introduces C++ and teaches how to write simple programs using character-based input and output. The emphasis is on C++ language constructs and how to use them with a lesser emphasis on program design and problem solving. The course also provides a foundation for those wishing to learn other object-oriented languages, such as Java and SmallTalk.

The target audience includes programmers wanting to learn the basics of programming in an object-oriented language.

C Language

5 days

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the C language through lecture, examples, and exercises. The course material contains 160 complete programs, including input and output examples.

The target audience includes experienced programmers.
