Description

This course combines lectures and hands-on exercises to explain the debugging process and introduce the Abend-Aid products.
Note: This course may be added to any of the CICS debugging courses.

Audience

COBOL programmers who use Abend-Aid tools to debug CICS programs.

Prerequisite

CICS Command Level Coding or equivalent experience with CICS and COBOL programming.
Note: the student should have access to the AbendAid Users Manual from Compuware.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

• test and debug COBOL programming problems and abends using the Abend-Aid products
• show improved productivity and accuracy as a result of fully understanding the debugging process
