CICS/TS Web Server Implementation

Description

Through a combination of lecture and workshop exercises, this course covers all the basics for implementing and using the CICS/Web Interface.

Audience

Programmers, system programmers, and analysts responsible for implementing a CICS/WEB application.

Prerequisite

Knowledge of the standard CICS/API and familiarity with the CICS/BMS generation process.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • understand the implementation, administration, and application programming interface available in CICS/TS
  • discuss the advantages and disadvantages of WEB3270, WEBSPHERE plugin using an EXCI interface, the WEB API, and JAVA
  • design and implement Web applications that interface with CICS
