Introduction to VisualAge for Java

Description

This course introduces VisualAge for Java, an integrated development environment for building Java-compatible applications, applets, and JavaBean components. Through a combination of lecture and lab work, the student will learn to create Java applications using the tools provided by VisualAge.

Audience

Application programmers and designers planning to develop Java applications in the VisualAge environment.

Prerequisite

Background in programming.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • understand the tools provided by VisualAge for Java
  • describe the VisualAge environment
  • control and use program elements
  • explain Java classes and objects
