Introduction to Linux

Description

This hands-on course teaches the necessary skills to use the Linux Operating System to run applications or to support application users.

Audience

System or application end-users with little or no Linux experience and database administrators or programmers who need a functional familiarity with basic system tools and commands.

Prerequisite

None.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • use basic Linux commands to manipulate files and navigate through the file system
  • manage, process, and customize the environment
  • use the vi editor
