Description

This course uses lecture and lab work to demonstrate techniques used to develop advanced shell and reporting type procedures under Linux.

Audience

Linux users, system administrators, or programmers.

Prerequisite

Linux Utilities and Commands or equivalent experience.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • use Linux BASH shell and pdksh (public domain Korn shell) to maintain files
  • control usage of shell command scripts
  • generate reports using the gawk facility
