Description

With a combination of lectures and lab work, this course demonstrates procedures to develop user-friendly front-end panels in the interactive REXX or CLIST environment.

Audience

Application programmers who develop or maintain interactive systems in the OS/390 or VM environment.

Prerequisite

TSO/ISPF and OS/390 JCL.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • define and use panels
  • create and access tables
  • tailor files
  • manipulate variables
  • display informational messages
  • use skeleton files to create and submit jobs from panel-based input
  • create pull-down menus
