Description

This course teaches advanced concepts and capabilities used to write procedures in PERL, with emphasis on the interfaces that use object-oriented features. Lab work complements the lectures.

Audience

Users, system administrators, application programmers, and system programmers with experience in PERL.

Prerequisite

Programming in PERL (Basic/Intermediate) or equivalent experience.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • use PERL techniques and commands to write scripts that perform user and administrative tasks
  • implement advanced features of the language
