Description

Using a combination of lecture and lab work, this course introduces the programming interface and techniques for writing procedures in PERL (Practical Extraction and Report Language).

Audience

Users, system administrators, application programmers, and system programmers.

Prerequisite

Introduction to Unix or equivalent experience.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • understand PERL techniques and commands
  • write scripts to perform user and administrative tasks
