Description

This course introduces HTML and demonstrates the skills needed to design and create Web Pages. Students will learn to develop and test prototype Internet and Intranet sites and to administer them after implementation.

Audience

Beginning Web page designers or those with basic HTML skills who want to learn more about the latest HTML elements and interactive components.

Prerequisite

Experience with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT

Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • gain a basic understanding of HTML authoring
  • use HTML tags, attributes, and links
  • understand the use of advanced forms, table design, graphic processing, and client-side image maps
  • develop, test, and administer Internet and Intranet sites
  • implement cascading style sheets, frames and target windows, applets, parameter and object tags
  • incorporate Java applets and ActiveX controls
