Description

This course teaches the student how to install, customize, operate, and administer WebSphere MQ for OS/390. Topics include configuration, daily administration, problem determination and problem resolution, data integrity and data recovery, security and performance.

Audience

Technical support personnel responsible for the successful implementation, operation, and daily system administration of WebSphere MQ for OS/390.

Prerequisite

WebSphere MQ Technical Introduction or equivalent experience and a general understanding of OS/390 operations and systems programming concepts.

Objectives

Students will be able to:

• plan and perform the installation and customization of WebSphere MQ on the OS390 platform
• perform basic system administrator tasks
• implement basic recovery procedures
• enable a queue manager to support MQSeries clients
• troubleshoot basic problems and performance issues
